The Madden Curse, it's a thing. I capitalize it because it's not to be taken lightly. A little background information? In the 13 seasons since EA started putting NFL players on the front of Madden football covers, Larry Fitzgerald is the only one not to see a huge decrease in production or a serious injury the following season. 2011's victim is Peyton Hillis...it's like he was doomed to get hurt before the season even started...
The Injuries
Peyton Hillis: The aforementioned Peyton Hillis that is. So far his production has been down, he's had strep throat, and now he injures a hamstring (it's real, folks). He barely played after the second quarter Sunday, and owners should be fully ready to replace him in week 7. Montario Hardesty is a more than suitable replacement. You have the green light.
Felix Jones: Jones needs to take a swig of the Felixir and recover. He's gonna be killing me these upcoming weeks in the ReclinerQB.com fantasy football league. After suffering a high ankle sprain, Felix Jones will be out for multiple weeks. I'd stash both Tashard Choice and DeMarco Murray. Either could end up being a viable fantasy option.
Jahvid Best: Second concussion of the year, and what seems like the billionth injury of his short career. In his career, he's been explosive at best, and awful at worst...an incredibly watered down Barry Sanders. His week 7 status is up in the air, but with the Ronnie Brown trade falling through I don't see Jerome Harrison doing much.
The Replacements
Good to Go: Montario Hardesty
Wait and See: Tashard Choice, DeMarco Murray
Stay AWAY (until further notice): Jerome Harrison
